- Forged wheels — machined from a single billet of 6061-T6 aluminum under 8,000+ tons of pressure. Lightest option (20-40% lighter than cast), strongest, and most expensive ($800-$3,000+ per wheel). Available in monoblock, 2-piece, and 3-piece configurations.
- Flow-formed wheels — also called rotary-forged or flow-forged. A cast center is stretched and compressed under heat, creating a barrel with near-forged strength at 15-25% less weight than traditional cast. Best balance of weight, strength, and price ($300-$600 per wheel). Brands like Vossen HF, Rohana RFX, and Niche use this process.
